Our stuffing mixes come in two sizes, perfect for gatherings both large (9×13 pan) and small (9×5 loaf pan or 8×8 pan).
To make a 9x5 loaf pan or 8x8 pan of stuffing:
5 cups dried or cubed bread
½ lb country or sage sausage
¼ cup (½ stick) butter
1½ cups chicken or turkey broth
1 egg, beaten(optional for binding)
1 small packet Farmhouse Sage Stuffing Mix
To make a 9x13 pan of stuffing:
10 cups dried or cubed bread
1 lb country or sage sausage
½ cup (1 stick) butter
3 cups chicken or turkey broth
2 egg, beaten(optional for binding)
1 large packet Farmhouse Sage Stuffing Mix
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F and lightly grease your desired baking dish.
In a skillet, cook sausage until browned. Remove sausage, reserving about 1 tbsp of rendered fat.
Add butter to the same skillet. Stir in the entire package ofstuffing mixand cook 30–60 seconds to bloom the spices.
Pour in broth and bring just to a simmer.
In a large bowl, combine cooked sausage and bread cubes. Pour broth mixture over and toss gently to coat. Add egg if using.
Transfer to prepared pan. Cover with foil and bake 25–30 minutes, then uncover and bake 10–15 minutes until golden and crisp on top.
