Description:Our Coffee Enhancer is a microground dark roast coffee that can be used in baking recipes to add complexity. If you have our first cookbook (50+ Sweet Endings), we have created this to replace Starbucks Via, as it has become increasingly difficult to locate over the years. While another substitution could be to use instant coffee, the acidic notes and harsher flavor that imparts would not provide the same complexity and depth to the recipes as they were designed to have.
Like our chocolate enhancers, it is designed to be used sparingly to enhance existing recipes vs used on its own. For the coffee enhancer should be used in 1/4 tsp (for complexity) to 1/2 tsp - 1 tsp (for a coffee-forward flavor like would be expected in tiramisu or a mocha icing) increments.
