My name is Kirsten Petersen. My love for baking began in the kitchens of the women who raised me. Both of my grandmothers—and my mother—nurtured my curiosity, teaching me the rhythms, scents, and comforts of homemade food. My British grandmother, a devoted bread baker, passed down techniques I still use today, while my paternal grandmother, the heart of her home, showed me the beauty of baking with love and intention.

Those early memories eventually led me to a local culinary program, where I fell even deeper in love with the craft. After graduating, I returned to my own kitchen, baking for friends and family until one day I discovered sourdough. It instantly became a new passion—one that opened the door to the bakery I run today. Welcome to Wild Daisy Bakehouse.

My work is rooted in providing nourishing, thoughtful food for my community. Baked goods and sweet treats bring joy to my soul, and my hope is that they nourish your belly and your mind. Food, for me, is a comfort that's difficult to put into words—it should feed the body, yes, but also bring warmth, happiness, and a sense of being cared for.
