Khalsa Bakehouse is a minority, women-owned home bakery rooted in clean, wholesome, homemade baking.
What began as a simple hobby slowly turned into something more. Baking was originally just a way to share joy, especially with the kids in local gatka group who never held back their honest opinions. With their encouragement (and a lot of prayer), that small hobby grew into a dream. In May 2024, Khalsa Bakehouse was born — and just a few months later, after an unexpected layoff, that dream became a full-time leap of faith.
Today, Khalsa Bakehouse is best known for our “famous” baked donuts — the ones people line up for at the farmers market and recognize us for as “the donut bakery.” Alongside our donuts, we create Indian treats and a growing lineup of better-for-you baked goods, all made with intention and care.
Everything we make is baked — never fried — and crafted with clean, wholesome ingredients. We don’t use refined sugar or flour, dyes, or preservatives, and we proudly offer eggless, vegetarian, and vegan options. Our baking focuses on whole wheat flour, raw cane sugar, and simple, nourishing ingredients that feel good to enjoy. Whenever possible, we also love sourcing locally, including fresh milk and apple cider from nearby farms.
One of our newest additions, our whole wheat bread, has quickly become a customer favorite — the kind of everyday staple people come back for again and again.
The name Khalsa Bakehouse reflects the values behind everything we do: honesty, intention, resilience, and trust. Inspired by faith and guided by community, this bakery is about more than just treats — it’s about sharing food made with purpose, heart, and gratitude.
We’re incredibly thankful for the love and support from our local community and can’t wait to welcome new faces. Whether you’re discovering us through this app, ordering online, or visiting us at the farmers market, we’re so glad you’re here.
